# Historical visitor provenance

These are newly assembled, period-inspired interpretations of Isaac Newton and Galileo Galilei. They are not scans, photographic reconstructions or claims of exact likeness. Portraits informed the broad hair, beard, collar and clothing choices; no museum portrait image is embedded in either model.

## Portrait references

## Geometry and texture sources

The human head, neck and hand topology and age/face morph targets derive from MakeHuman's hm08 base. Core assets were explicitly released under CC0 in September 2020. The downloaded OBJ and target headers record Data Collection AB, Joel Palmius and Jonas Hauquier, with targets originally by Manuel Bastioni.

Newton's complexion uses `toigo_light_skin_male_freckles` by MargaretToigo, CC0. Galileo's complexion uses `onlytheghosts_old_eurasian_male` by OnlyTheGhosts, CC0. Both are resized to 1536px JPEG for the web assets.

Galileo's fitted beard derives from `grinsegold_beard_sigmund_wip` by grinsegold, released under CC0 in the current official asset-pack listing and manifest. Its older mhclo header predates that current declaration. The beard was fitted to the morphed head, attached to Head, and its texture reduced to 512px.

Newton's curled hair derives from `elvs_wavy_bob` by Elvaerwyn, CC BY. It was fitted to the morphed head, lengthened, opened away from the eyes, smoothed, recolored and rigged. The source archive and manifest identify CC BY; MakeHuman's repository licensing guidance identifies its CC-BY terms as Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
